One of my favourite things about being involved in the organic sector is that we are such a close-knit community.  It's great traceability - I can shop at the supermarket but know where my food came from.  Unlike many other city-dwellers, I can pick a product off the shelf knowing who grew it, the state of their farm and their animals, and then come to Fieldays - or conferences like this - and meet the people whose hard work I appreciate at dinner time.

The State of the Organic Sector 2007

This research measures the value of New Zealand's domestic organic market, organic exports, and conducts consumer insights research.
